GFS beta terms
Draft for the beta. These terms have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and will be replaced before GFS leaves beta.
What GFS is
GFS is a preparation tool. It helps you organize a client's financial information and produce draft financial statements and working papers. It does not perform an engagement, form a conclusion or opinion, or verify anything you enter.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the data you enter, for the statements you produce and for anything you issue to others.
- Compilation, review and audit reports may be issued only by people licensed to do so where they practise. If you declare a licence in GFS, you confirm it is valid and covers the reports you issue. GFS does not verify licences.
- Do not use GFS to mislead anyone, and keep your password private.
Your data
- Your clients, engagements and files are visible only to your account. The service operator can see account-level information (email, dates, counts) to run the service, and does not open client content except to resolve a problem you report.
- Source documents you upload (T2 PDFs, Excel files) are deleted after their data is extracted. Generated files stay in your account until you delete the client or the account.
- Deleting your account deletes its clients, engagements and files. Keep your own copies of anything you must retain.
- Data is stored in Canada on a server operated by Volttus. Backups are kept for a limited time.
Beta
The beta is free and provided as is, without guarantees of availability or accuracy. Features may change. We may end the beta with notice by email.
